Goodwill offers internship opportunities for individuals in the following areas: Reception, Marketing, Accounting, and Information Technology.
The program is meant to assist the intern in developing meaningful work experiences that will help them get a job.

Reception:
Major Duties of the job include:
Answers and routes all incoming phone calls, takes and delivers messages accurately and promptly. Greets and directs visitors and consumers and announces them by phone to the appropriate staff
Types correspondence as needed. Alphabetizes paperwork for Accounting and Human Resource files
Accepts, sorts and distributes mail and UPS shipments. Distributes interoffice mail from Nold Avenue and all stores. Logs checks and cash received. Distributes copies of checks and cash to the appropriate departments
Responsible for securing the Palmer Street facility.
Assists the Administrative staff in various tasks as needed and other duties as assigned by V P. of Administration.
Accounting:
Major Duties of the job include:
Receives, records and files all incoming bills and receipts. Codes invoices in preperation for data entry.
Accounting filing. Assists in preparing monthly journal entries in preparation for the month end close. Assists in invoice entry and mailing. Assists in updating financial and sales spreadsheets. Assists with month end bank reconciliation
Performs any other duties as assigned by the Vice President of Administration in complying with all accounting procedures and standards as required.
Marketing:
Major Duties of the job include:
Assist with planning and implementing special events. Organize and update scrapbook.
Assist with making follow-up phone calls for events. Assist in data entry.
General clerical functions including photocopying, labeling invitations and bulk mail projects. Other duties as assigned.
Information Technology:
Overview:
Work with the I.T. Director performing day to day I.T. tasks, projects, technology deployments and staff support duties throughout Goodwill Industries of Wayne and Holmes Counties, Inc. offices and store locations.
Major Duties of the job include:
Assist in the installation of operating systems, software, hardware, peripherals, wired and wireless networks and other technology related devices and systems including telco, fax and credit card processing equipment.
Diagnose, repair and maintain I.T. systems by assisting the I.T. director in researching and documenting errors and solutions.
Organize and maintain records of I.T. inventory, spare parts and systems company wide.
Test current spare systems and parts in inventory to determine functionality and enter suitable systems into inventory.
Recommend disposal of non-functional systems after harvesting for parts if applicable.
General cleaning and preventative maintenance of I.T. systems.
