What benefits / tax breaks do I get by outsourcing to a non-profit organization?
By outsourcing to Goodwill, you create jobs and training opportunities for individuals who are disabled or disadvantaged.
While there are no tax breaks for outsourcing, donations of material, supplies, etc. might be considered tax deductible, depending on your specific situation. For more information contact your tax representative or the IRS at www.irs.gov
Can you pick up and deliver product?
Yes, we have two 24 foot trucks for easy access to your docks for pick-up and delivery.
What kind of services do you provide?
Goodwill’s Commercial Services is dedicated to providing high-quality, dependable, and turnkey service for on-time deliveries in a cost-effective manner for the following services: Assembly, kitting or sequencing, inspection, supply chain solutions, on-site crews, packaging, inventory management, reverse logistics, order fulfillment, and light manufacturing.

Can you provide on-site labor?
On-site labor can be provided to area businesses. Goodwill is very flexible in meeting the customers staffing needs.
Can you warehouse and inventory material?
Yes, however, Goodwill Industries has limited warehousing space and inventory systems to store products to be used in assembly or packaging operations.
What lead-time is required for my order?
Depending on current capacity and number of order, resources can normally be allocated to your project within two to three working days after all details are finalized.
Who are some current customers you work with?
Goodwill has been a resource for numerous customers from a variety of industries including: Diebold, Wooster Brush, Will-Burt, Sterling Fur, Dometic/Sealand, Akron Brass.
We provide many services such as assembly, packaging, cleaning, warehousing, order fulfillment, kitting and inspecting.
What type of equipment do you have?
Goodwill has bundling and shrink-wrapping equipment, semi-automated and automated bagging equipment and, parts washers available to meet your needs.
Do you have space and capacity to meet my order?
The Industrial Services Division has an 75,000-square-foot facility used for production and warehousing.
How do you assure quality?
Worker training and supervision would be the first step in assuring quality. Incoming material is receipt inspected for quantity and damage.
What are your pick up and delivery charges?
The charge is included at the time of quote.
What are your working hours?
Goodwill’s normal production hours are 7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Monday through Friday.
Can you supply materials?
Yes, Goodwill can provide materials to be used in the manufacturing process if desired. In most cases, the customer will be expected to provide the specifications and any special instructions.
How will I be invoiced?
You will be invoiced after the work is completed and has been shipped or delivered.
What are your payment terms?
Our standard payment terms are net 30 days unless otherwise agreed upon.
What are your dock and delivery hours?
Our normal receiving and delivery hours are 7:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. Monday through Friday. Extended hours can be arranged if required.
